Cap and Trade: State by State

Just before the Waxman-Markey bill was being rushed urgently through the House of Representatives this summer, I started looking for answers.  I couldn't for the life of me understand why McCain, Hillary Clinton, McCain, Obama, and other American leaders were so all about Cap and Trade.  (Mind you - at this time I still subscribed to the naive notion that the government leaders care about the best interest of the USA and their American constituents)  At the time I was unaware of Copenhagen or any of the global ramifications that could result from such legislation.  

I happened upon the following study when looking into then Green Jobs Czar and self avowed communist Van Jones and his nonprofit social justice/environmentalist organization Green for All (More about them later)

Please note that this study has a particular purpose - and it is not to keep costs down for States or for the American people.

The Real Green Agenda Again, Green logic is a wonder to behold. For millennia humankind thought that poverty existed as man’s default status. Effort, energy, and thinking are used to create wealth. Where most people saw wealth creation as an evolutionary process by which we left poverty behind, the Greens say this is false. Poverty was created at the same time wealth was created. But what existed before poverty and wealth? We see poor people become rich all the time. We see man’s evolution as moving from a state of deprivation to a state of relative plenty. But if poverty and wealth developed jointly, what came before them? This Green logic, however, is necessary to achieve the real agenda: the eradication of wealth. If you accept that wealth created poverty, then the destruction of wealth will destroy poverty. In the Memo, the authors merely say they want to “reform” wealth. How deep does this rabbit hole go? Almost 12 months into the Obama presidency, I should know better than to be surprised at anything that goes on these days - ESPECIALLY in WASHINGTON D.C. I must admit that I did not think that the Copenhagen Summit was a big deal anymore (at least for now) since congress has not yet succeeded in passing the oh-so-unnecessary, uber expensive job killing Cap and Trade Legislation. Between Lord Monckton's warning that Copenhagen would endanger the sovereignty of the US via a climate treaty, and the more recent CLIMATEGATE e-mail scandal, I made the mistake of telling myself that "Obama can't do anything in Copenhagen without legislation" Hell, until a few days ago, he was only going to attend the first day on his way to retrieve his NObel Peace Prize in Oslo. Yesterday the EPA announced that CO2 and other "greenhouse gases" are "hazardous to human health", thus subject to regulation by the EPA. Just a coincidence I'm sure.... yeah, right. I have a feeling that Obama's Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein (author of Nudge and other books that discuss ways to gain control over the population in a gradual and subversive way) May have had a little something to do with this. I must admit it is both sick and brilliant - finding yet another...
