Predictably, following last week's State of the Union address rounding off the first year of the Obama Presidency, America's political bitch-fest has reached a new level. The only resemblance to a united bi-partisan government serving the interests of 'We the People' is the collective continuation of an ongoing parade of chaos. On one hand during Wednesday's State of the Union address, as a jittery World looks on, the President announces a government spending freeze, and the following Monday announces an unprecedented 3.8 trillion dollar budget while blaming the former President for the whole thing. One side of the political isle grand stands while the other sits openly unemotional with hands folded (neither having anything to do with the other) before not just the American public, but the World (including friends and allies of The United States [G-20]) who watches in amazement with disgust and pity as they scramble to repair economic damage to their own countries brought upon by the pattern and practice of corrupt indulgences on America's Wall Street and an economically over extended United States government after exporting worthless derivatives and securities to prop up a crumbling house of cards.[In defense of the President, and his commitment to openness and transparency with the people of America, the spending freeze as announced was stated as not to take place until 'next year' ... so no reason to get excited; the President would never mislead the people of America.]Unfortunately, as Americans watch and listen to television, debates, interviews, speeches, and talk radio, so does the World ... like watching an episode of the Jerry Springer Show laced with Judge Judy.Self appointed 'Great Americans' finger point and waller in 'talking points'; elected officials confess extra marital affairs of immoralities, while others are investigated and/or convicted of public corruption, abuses of official privilege, misuse of public funds, and conflicts of interests.... And the picture continues! For the sake of people who complain about 'preaching to the choir' : Is there any of all this we don't already know?Issues, talking points and sound bytes have been drummed into us to the point of numbness well before the 2008 election through what was the longest, most expensive and well orchestrated political campaign in world history.Since pulling the trigger in support of 'Hope and Change' America is coming out of the ether to find itself in a free fall like jumping out of an airplane without a parachute and unable to see the ground because of storm clouds gathering below to greet us.At this point, Americans are so confused and distracted ... few, understand what all this really means, ...nor, has a clue of what's coming. So, how do we fix this? Background'A Mission for America's Future' written and published back in 2005 was a result of a study in earnest into ending indigence in America by addressing the root causes and breaking the cycles and patterns of social behavior that lead to what has evolved into a culture of dependence on government assistance and often incarceration at a tremendous cost to taxpayers, productivity, and long term sustainability for America's future.Research confirmed what we already know which is that, indigent children through no fault of their own are most prone to not having adequate resources for a complete education and most vulnerable to a number of psychological and physical abuses that in turn leads to a continued lifestyle of poverty and dependence on government welfare and social services. As the result of further study, 'A Mission for America's Future' discusses leveling the playing field for children in poverty and providing a complete education [including college or university] and behavioral counseling as an investment for social and economic return, well being, and national security with overwhelming social and economic benefit for Americans, individually and collectively as opposed to a continuing economic drain and lack of production and positive contribution to the community.Although by nature, benevolence is not a high priority for most people, its interesting, that if practiced with wisdom, a collective abundance results from a disposition to do good. Now of course, five years later in 2010 everyone in America has bigger fish to fry with many factors contributing to a now struggling nation.Rather than 'A Mission for America's Future' most Americans are on a mission for survival. An American RealityGenerally speaking, whether we like to admit it or not, we Americans (other than on television) aren't real keen on reality, and very quick to change the channel if we aren't hearing what we want to hear ... a short attention span and easily distracted.Sometimes, because its so much more convenient to go with the flow (even though we see the train is coming) rather than take personal initiative to understand a vitally important point. Most of us really need to hear the same thing over and over again to comprehend and conscientiously act on anything that doesn't directly interfere with personal interests and indulgences. Its not that Americans who are concerned for their children and America's future are 'retards' (as Rahm Emanuel [The President's main man and Chief of Staff] would have one believe), its that at the moment, this version of 'Hope and Change' is not quite what most Americans had in mind.'Healing a Nation'While America reels from the reality 'Hope and Change', the 2009 'Healing a Nation' series is like a trail of breadcrumbs threaded with insights and documentation from an 'outside of the box' perspective to help connect the dots and illustrate that, what Americans believe and perceive (or, at least are lead to believe and perceive) isn't necessarily the way things are.Under Siege Think about it! ... Since The Wall Street Collapse in 2008, Americans have faced foreclosures, joblessness, homelessness, threats of pandemic (H1N1), terrorism, and further economic calamity as if carefully orchestrated by design and as psychologically devastating as the 'Blitz' bombing raids on London in World War II as if to keep the American people off balance while a rogue government ransacks the country under our noses.Waking Up!Whether there are actual 'conspiracies' to bring America to its knees as rumors go, or simply altogether ineptitude on the part of Washington.. THINGS JUST AREN'T RIGHT! ...and everyone knows it!Americans are crying out for something... anything to change the way the country is going ... but ... before anything can be fixed ...Americans have to understand the reasons for the problem and make some serious changes.Common GroundFirst of all, a good question and discussion by By Vasko Kohlmayer of American Thinker 'Do We Have What It Takes?' brings up some interesting points.Even President Obama (for his agendas to work) points to the need to find common ground. One 'common ground' Americans need (before anything can be fixed) is common sense!A House DividedThe 'Great Americans' generally boast about being 'Conservative', 'Patriot', 'Constitutionalist', and when daring; 'Christian'. (Some, actually go to Church). However, for the sake of the easily offended so we can find common ground and focus, rather than to say Jesus said it, we can give credit to a 'Great American' for giving the 'House Divided Speech'.The House Divided Speech was an address given by Abraham Lincoln the speech contains the quotation"A house divided against itself cannot stand," which is taken from Matthew 12:25: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand."...a similar line had been spoken in a letter from Abigail Adams to Mercy Otis Warren. In remarking about the war she goes on to say:"....A house divided upon itself- and upon that foundation do our enemies build their hopes of subduing us."Every day we are bitterly divided as Americans ...what we are doing to ourselves is self destructing.Yesterday's [February 02, 2010] American Thinker says it well 'Stopping the radicals who now control the federal government should not be our ultimate objective. This is only the first necessary step. Our overarching goal should be to set the country on the right course. But to do this, we need to have solutions that work.Great Americans can talk all they want about how bad Liberals and Democrats are and what they are doing to the country, but until we as a nation are united as quoted by Abraham Lincoln;"A house divided against itself cannot stand," which is taken from Matthew 12:25: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand."Whats even worse, ... as stated by Abigail Adams to Mercy Otis Warren "....A house divided upon itself- and upon that foundation do our enemies build their hopes of subduing us".National SecurityIslam has declared Jihad against America. America has already been attacked at the World Trade Center in New York; the worst of which being September 11, 2001.China is unhappy with us, North Korea, Iran, and other countries have issues with America, and common knowledge that our borders are inadequately protected.FocusSomebody's going to be offended ... but, literally, while America is in flames, the only plan Republicans have presented in opposition to what is happening In America is that they are Not Democrats.Like in 'A Mission for America's Future' we need 'level the playing field' and get to the 'root causes and break the cycles and patterns of behavior that has lead to what has evolved into a culture of corruption and ineptitude in Washington.Common sense says that the most conservative, most patriotic move for common ground and focus before its too late is to drop the politics and focus strictly on a commitment to return to the values and principles set established by America's founding fathers and given for all Americans to follow: 'The Constitution', 'The Bill of Rights', and 'The Federalist Papers' .Subsequently, without influence or conflict of interests as it is in Washington today, any legislation that is unconstitutional or unlawfully created should be set aside accordingly; and anyone in violation of federal statutes should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law without exception.Corporate influences and other interests not serving the best interest of 'We the People' should be barred and any elected official held accountable for violating the people's trust as specifically defined in 'The Constitution', 'The Bill of Rights', 'The Federalist Papers' , and Constitutionally consistent Federal statutes.'Do We Have What It Takes?'Lets put it this way... common sense says IF WE DON'T ....and if we don't get united for the right reasons... NOW... (not in November or 2012) ...the 'tea party' is over!Division is destroying America ...and we are running out of time! The future of America is NOT A GAME!If we as a nation want to survive ... 'We the People' need to stop behaving and accepting behavior from anyone ...like this is some kind of game .... be responsible, get down to business, ... and FIX THIS!
This is EXACTLY how I feel... Great Job ENDRUNLUV - You nailed it!
